Windsor Farms raises organic birds using NO MEDICATION. He began Using POULTRY MATE
PLUS approximately half way through the feeding period. He split one of his pens
to create control and treatment pens for the test. Before this time his greatest
losses occurred in the first 30 days and his second greatest losses came at processing
time in the form of condemned birds. The slaughter plant meat inspector said his
birds were far below industry standards on one group this past year. He had many
turkeys tanked for 3 reasons.
- Synovitis,
- Septicemia,
- Air Sacculitis.

195 head (8.6%) were rejected for market and tanked.
